I see a back three. Better suits the players available and how we'll need to play against Pats.

Let's hope those 2 Pats players struggling with injuries don't make the game.
Also read that Melia is a doubt.

Injuries and suspensions taking their toll. Squad looking fragile. The team will pick itself based on who’s fit and available.

Let's hope no more injuries picked up in the last 2 games, with the cup final round the corner.

Re: St Pats vs Derry City
I still don't understand the logic of RTE going to Tolka tomorrow and not Richmond Park. We have four teams chasing this title, two of them face off on Friday night whilst $h£l$ are nailed on to face a Drogheda team that will rest most of their strongest 11 with a final and playoff on their minds. Strangely, Off The Ball is coming out of moth balls to head to Tolka Park to provide their first LOI match day commentary in 20 years.
The trophy can't be lifted tomorrow, at best $h£l$ can't be confirmed as champions until Sunday if results go their way, so why head to Tolka when the real drama will be in Inchicore?

I suspect that neither RTE or OTB are aware of this nuance...TenaciousDee wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 10:48 pm I still don't understand the logic of RTE going to Tolka tomorrow and not Richmond Park. Did you happen to see Eoin Doyle did an article online for RTE talking up the game in Richmond, pointing out all eyes will be on this game etc. The article ends by pointing out RTE is covering the Shels/Drogs game. Surely an editor should have pushed him to focus on the live coverage instead of the direction he went? It just highlights the stupidity of the match choice.

Re: St Pats vs Derry City
Obviously we are biased, but still clearly Pats v Derry is box office for many reasons, not least the many intriguing sub-plots. But Shels are top and a win could win them the league, albeit, not tonight. So if I take my Derry glasses off and think what if we were top all season and going for our first league title in modern history no doubt we'd be howling of Dublin Media bias if the cameras weren't there. So maybe Shels deserve it on merit? Top of the league with a potentially league defining game ahead of them. And Duff brings a bit of box office too so whilst its disappointing we've been ignored i'm not entirely surprised.TenaciousDee wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 4:22 pm Did you happen to see Eoin Doyle did an article online for RTE talking up the game in Richmond, pointing out all eyes will be on this game etc. The article ends by pointing out RTE is covering the Shels/Drogs game. Can't keep possession at all. Diallo booked now, ref trying his best to book all our players. Red card coming for us in the second half.
