Derry City v Drogheda United Match Thread

Post by TenaciousDee »

Tickets for the match will be in outlets and online from 9am.

If you can't make it the match is live on LOITV, BBC Radio Foyle and Drive 105.

Anyone know if there are any tickets left at any of the outlets?

On tonight's coverage of the match on Drive 105 MNL, joining Stephen McClelland and myself will be Danny Lafferty on co-hosting duties.

In the build up to kickoff former Drogheda United striker, Declan 'Fabio' O'Brien previews the match from a Drogheda point of view.
We will be discussing the ins & outs before the window officially opens. I speak with new signing Jacob Davenport and Shaun Shields, football agent with Quorum Sports. Together we discuss the trends for LOI players moving in the summer window, challenges, opportunities and there is a bit of myth busting.

All starts at 7pm and ends at 10pm, and at half time Willy McCann form the Dublin DCFCSC supporters club will join me to discuss his Irish Coastal Cycling Challenge that benefits four charities in the country. Today he finishes the first leg of the challenge, hopefully before KO.

Drogheda are bottom of the league, have lost a few of their loan players in Gallagher and Weir and I think Markey and Deegan might be injured too.

Should be three points even if we only play one up front. If we score a goal, I'd like to see them try for a second.

Great result, didn't realise Weir still there for them. Not sure what their second goal was disallowed for but ultimately didn't matter.

Good to see Whelan but would have liked to have seen Harkin get extended minutes.

Good win again last night and the momentum continues to build. Two tough away games coming next. Exciting times ahead. Upacity……

Another positive result. Performances have improved since Diallo and Dummigan has returned to the team with both adding much needed quality.

Good to see us play with more confidence in recent weeks and build up a healthy goal difference especially with a few tougher fixtures on the horizon.

Sligo will be a good test ahead of our European adventures.

Great result though Drogs did threaten early on. Glad Duffy not needed and could be rested. Everyone seems to have stepped up a gear and confidence overall.
Putting opposition under pressure from the start is paying off. Looks like it's us and Shels on track for the title.
