Post by kitwe »

Beat Rovers tonight and Pats do us a favour - easier said than done. But possible!

Tonight on MNL on Drive 105, Michael Kealey and James O'Toole will be in position to deliver live commentary from 8PM in Tallaght Stadium.

I will be live in studio from 7:25pm. In the Big Build-Up Dermot Liddy speaks to Shane McEleney and Paul McMullan; Barry Murphy, former SRFC Goalkeeper, joins me to discuss Rovers this far in 2024 and Gareth McGuinness interviews Patrick McEleney about injury and making an impact off the bench.

105.3FM locally, DAB and online.

Really looking forward to this. For once it’s Shams that can’t afford to lose and the pressure sits squarely with them. Think Hoban is suspended but Mullen has a better goals per minutes played ratio and is more than capable of leading the attack. He has already scored in Tallagh and this is a big opportunity for him & Derry. We have to be brave tonight and probably need a wee rub. Expect them to have a real go early on.

Come on City get inte them……..

Jeez that was bad, we look afraid of rovers every time we play them. Dire performance but not surprised at this stage.

We’ve not beaten Rovers, Shels or Galway this season yet after 2 games. Brutal defending for the goal - not a single player closes Burke down. And nothing really at the other end. All a bit predictable.

Really poor performance, Mc Jannet is normally solid but started poorly and got worse. The defence looked nervous throughput and we were lucky it was only 1 nil. The worst thing was how slow and sluggish we were in terms of passing and movement off the ball. They always seemed to have a man free and found him, we struggled to even find our man such was the lack of quality in our passing. Mullan looked like a poor man’s Jamie Mc Gonagle and Patching failed to get involved and disappeared in the 2nd half before being subbed. Disappointed to not be able to lay a clove on Rovers.

Shall we say it as it is He has the money. He has POD at his back He has the players BUT BUT BUT He has been found out. Let’s say it he has no coaching ability at all nor that staff he has can coach . We can’t shoot we can’t score from a multitude of set pieces. Even Luton can score from corners But he has his wee pets Mc Jannet was costing us every ball he stays Fats cruises in a deep nowhere situation and Diallo has nothing but a short pass so put O Reilly who can pass to RBack ?////// AND WANT A GOAL THEN pull off your strikersHold up,your hands As long as Rovers are there you wont win for us YOU ARE NO WHERE NEAR IT
