Morale amongst the team looks terrible. RH has ruined this squad.
How bad is McMullan? 60 consecutive games, never dropped? He's been awful this season, but plays because he runs around mad.
Whelan only player tonight who looked good.
Fats came on to play as a centre half. That'll win us the game.
There's about 8 players needed for next season. At least.
The team RH built.
Chased some decent players over the years and replaced them with journeymen.
Then there was losing to Bruno’s Bar and then this past 6 months.
Big changes needed and fast.

The league was there for the taking but the manager was far too negative. In 35 games league games scored in the first half in only 7 meaning you have a lot of work to do in the second half. Our points total the last three years is going backwards and with only 14 wins we didn't deserve to win. We'll be 4th in the league come Sunday.
Better have a new manager lined up for next season and we need a real clear out of the squad- thankfully a lot are out of contract but it's a rebuild.

Hopefully that's the end of the Higgins experiment. Should have been gone last year and after the magpies situation this year.
Rovers have been poor and inconsistent for three years and we've still no title to show for it. We'll never get a better chance.
Start whelan in the cup final, don't want to see mcmullen or patching in the team.

Anyone that understands their football has been watching this car crash all season and waiting for the inevitable.
This failure didn’t just happen tonight though many that argued in his favour will be sat now trying to figure out when it all went wrong.
I’ve posted every week now the same thing.
Groundhog Day. Same shit different day.
Massive pressure now to win the cup and RH is not fit to lead them out. Hopefully he does the honourable thing and resigns.

Of course not. RH should go and take his appointments with him.
There’s several managers that could step in tomorrow or next week.

The whole thing is a farce. Sold McJannet and didn’t replace him. Signed Hoban but had no idea how to utilise him. So many mad decisions. turned us into a laughing stock in the summer. And as if it couldn’t get worse we come 4th in a 2 horse race.

Pats fans also saying Derry did nothing in the 1st half.
Like every game this season. Higgins thinks football matches start in the 2nd half.
Game management i think it's called. It's a tough watch.
I'm not feeling confident for the cup final. We are very lucky we are playing Drogheda and not a decent team.

And Drogheda saying the same about us!

A fucking embarrassing display! Do these players not know the history and passion of this football club !

From the stand, it felt like the build up to the goal may have included an offside but there were still two poor clearances.
Almost inevitable that Brandon Kavanagh would score the goal. Would not have let him go but he may have wanted to leave after watching a player, P McEleney, the manager knew was injured play ahead of him in 2023.
Thought Derry deserved a goal in second half. Incredible save from Anang.
Patching for Whelan was a poor choice. A couple of weeks ago I saw a quote from manager that only Austria played two strikers as if that was a criticism of it.
Should never really have come down to having to beat Pats away tonight. League should have been won much earlier. And in many ways the game was a microcosm of the season.

Agreed. That alone was a sackable offence, and showed where things were heading.
Bohs sacked Stephen Kneny for a less embafrassing defeat in Europe.

How would Wisdom, McMullan, Mullan, Idehen, Davenport, Robertson know the history of the club?
Remember, to them, it's a job. A well paying job. Go and check their wiki pages, and you'll see most of them have been around 5, 6, or even 8 clubs. They are journeymen. They go where they'll be paid. Would they have liked to have won a league in Ireland? I'm sure they would, but they won't lose much sleep over it i think. Well, watching them play, I don't think they will. They will move on, and will barely spare a thought about Derry City in the coming years. We are just another entry in the "previous clubs" column.
As for the more local players, yes they will really have wanted to win the league. But some of them aren't good enough to do it. They have proved that. Its time to do a read out. Can't have players on huge money who either miss most of the season or who are living of exploits years ago. Not sure where the squad goes from here.

Sadly we have a history of under-performing and not winning much. So they're probably well suited
