He's definitely saying the right things. There'll be a real buzz around the start of next seaosn now if he can sort our playing squad out. Again - credit to the Board here.

Good luck to the boy Lynch (not sure how to spell full name) and his sibling (hopefully they get on better than the Gallacher louts lol)
A good brand of football at Larne he leaves with the good wishes of many. Let's hope he gets his revenge on Rovers but he has his work cut out for him. Wonder will see any Irish Leaguers at the Brandywell next season (and will see David at Larne)
Relieved its not Baraclough as we all know what muck was served up with the national team. Well done Philip

The boy Lynch - Tiernan is his first name

Gallagher is the proper spelling of the Irish born brothers from Manchester not the anglo-scots way you've spelt it

David at Larne? You a fanboy of big DJ ?

Barraclough with the national team? Careful now Forza... your sash... I mean your mask is starting to slip there

That would be top-level trolling by Larne

Also an interesting rebuttal to all the "But who else could we get as manager?" voices there were on here. As if Ruaidhri Higgons was the only managerial option on the planet

If it's true then RH will need to keep looking. Funny old game...

Lynch will demand a more professional approach and organisation within the club, planning training and travelling weeks in advance. Players getting texted on the morning of training and told where they need to be that day will no longer happen.

I also think 2 or 3 of those valued players that had plans to move on this year will now have a rethink.

He also did an interview in a podcast which is online. I think clearly the death of his brother affected him far more than he realised and it's hard not to feel for him there.

He basically blames the collapse on the fans turning on the team but then says it was only a small section which is a bit confusing. Also seems to suggest some players out of contract put in less effort.

He has a go at radio coverage of the team. It's hard to know whether that is Drive or Foyle but I would guess Foyle and he suggests that those unnamed radio people had an agenda to want to see him fail and says it was an obvious fact that certain people didn't want to see Derry succeed.

He obviously doesn't think his tactics were the issue but rather the games got harder as teams knew how he played and sat back. If that's the case, it's difficult to understand why he kept talking about how dangerous every team was.

He also seems to have suggested that he should have brought more staff as not all seemed to be on board with him. I'm not sure who he means there. McCourt?

He says it was hard attracting Dublin players. If so, maybe it was better not to chase them. He also seems to say 2022 was his best achievement and name checks the likes of Thomson and McGonigle in which case you wonder why he let them go or whether he asked why players seemed to regress.

It would have been good if he had been asked about Paddy McLaughlin.

Interesting that he didn't like it when he didn't have his own staff, which is when we were at our best under Higgins, but once he got his own in place we turned to shit.

His decision making on players (the one's he released as well as those he signed) generally, was very poor. His choice of backroom staff was equally uninspiring as his tactics. The poor guy has been through a lot off the field which is going to affect you in ways you can't imagine. Wish him all the best and he'll always be remembered for saving us after the Devine era and that FAI Cup win as well as the stinging disappointment on three fronts this season. All good things come to an end.

There is a thread in here that Brandyball started regarding a back and forth between Dessie McCallion and Gareth McGlynn. I think this instance and a few others is what he is referencing.

I agree Dee. I also believe McGlynn may have been a proxy for Higgins at the time. I also think Liam Coyle might be the person he is referring to.

I had started the thread because Ruidhri Higgins attacked the "mainstream media" as he thought they had an agenda against hehe team and as Gareth McGlynn took up the mantle against RDio Foyle's Dessie McCallion , I posed the question were Match Day analysts/co commentators considered part of "the mainstream Media? I Thought Gareth 's Spat was embarrassing.

Cost the club a fortune with going out of Europe to a pub team and not qualifying this year. Yet still a poor me story. Same media didn't ask the tough questions when we were served up awful football last 2 years.
