Most clubs at top level are already looking for their next managers even while the current one is still in a job (regardless of how he’s doing). I’d say the next manager could already be lined up or at least deep in discussion
This is how clubs should go about their business... Whether that's how we go about ours, I wouldn't be so sure.

What has he actually achieved anyway?
He's been discussed on various threads & different platforms. I was only posting on here to let people know he wouldn't be the new manager
Understand. But what has he achieved anyway?
For someone who has claimed previously on here to have watched the irish league, I find this question disingenuous. But i'll humour you...
Paddy won the league with stute [who had no home ground] went to Cliftonville, won the league cup, markedly improved them to the point of finishing as close to winning the league title as they had in a decade, finishing 2nd one season, 3rd the next.

Same could be said of Higgins what has he achieved as a member 1? Before he took the reins with us.

The Higgins - McLaughlin dream team didn't work out and Paddy departed. I've no idea what went on during that short period at the club but I suspect something happened. You don't just end a partnership after a matter of weeks. If we had all the information we could then speculate but we dont, or I certainly don't.

Higgins and The Club didn't come out of the situation too well.

There was three parties involved. Higgins, Paddy and then the Club, as their employers. I've no idea why it didn't work out. What I do know is that when Hegarty was announced I was deflated. I thought now we're going backwards again. This won't end well.

I wouldn't consider any list that doesn't have Felix Healy and Willie McStay on it genuine

Someone pointed out elsewhere that Paul Hegarty doesn't have the relevant coaching badges?

Sure let's not rule out Noel king either. If we're just adding names for the fun of it.

I didn't know Larne are currently 9th!
It appears this looks like who's it's going to be. Will it be enough to settle us fans and get bums into the new stand come Feb/March?

Yeah, but Larne have played 3 or 4 games less than most of the rest of the league.
Interesting choice if this is who it will be.

True.
If they were to win their games in hand they'd be 2nd.

So basically Paddy won the Irish League Cup and came 2nd and 3rd in the Irish League. Which is no better than Higgins did for us if we're honest. And no other club took Paddy on after he left us - until a few days ago, where he's now joined Irish League make-weights/relegation contenders Glenavon. If that all makes Paddy the answer, then I'm honestly not sure what the question was.
Being honest - if Paddy wasn't from Derry, would be even be getting mentioned on here?
P.S. I'll no doubt se you at the Stute-Larne League Cup match tomorrow night, mucker

In fairness, I questioned his appoiintment at the time - but said I would give him a chance. It just felt at the time a case of us reaching for smeone we alreasdy knew. Which would be very Derry City.

Can you imagine us paying compensation to get the Larne manager and then them appointing Higgins. Presumably in that scenario they'd have to pay us compensation also assuming he was still under contract and receiving a salary?
