League opener will be Shelbourne V Drogheda in the Presidents cup, a week before the first games. League starts on 14th February.
This match is a commemoration to mark the 110th anniversary of the first meeting of the two sides in a Dublin derby. It might be the opener for those two sides but the rest of the league have games on the Friday night beforehand.

When Lansdowne opened, PD was a twelve team league and I said on this forum I would love to see a Premiership Rugby Twickenham type weekend for us, hopefully this is a test of towards that approach.
I am considering going. I always wanted to witness this match in Dalymount Park but the one chance I had it was too late for a ticket. Had it been a night game it could have been more special but as I mentioned, I hope this is a success.
