First time watching the City ladies play. Won 3 -1 with good goals Lisburn were reduced to 9 players with a red card given after she was treated for an injury. Thought we still would have won even if Lisburn had their full compliment.
As an aside the linesman on Mark Farren stand side called to the bench he wasn't allowed to kick the ball when it went out of play but the linesman on Southend Stand side did. Strange rules hi

A red card for calling the ref a fucking idiot is a new one in a top division for me. The second red I called that player to be sent off early in the first half. She was booted during that period and you could see her temper slowly flaring as the match went on.
It wasn't a good game yesterday, lacked tempo in large spells and certain players made a number of unforced errors. I have seen them play better and get beaten by one or two goals. Quality of 3 of the goals in the match was excellent and a decent crowd too. Rumour has it the entire league will move from Friday nights to Sunday afternoons to avoid scheduling with the Men's teams. Personally I think it would be handy for Derry City.

Thought their number 5 bulldozed past a City player leaving her sprawling which then led to their goal.TenaciousDee wrote: Mon Oct 14, 2024 3:24 pm A red card for calling the ref a fucking idiot is a new one in a top division for me.
