Loads of supporters will be out there without a ticket. Capacity of 770 for any European game is poor and really should have been considered!! Just hope my season ticket gives me decent shot at getting ticket sorted

would it be fair to say that on oldie like me and a novice to modern travel would be mad to try to go to Gibraltar with the 200 ticket limit being so farcical I’d hate to think I’d have to watch game in a pub in Malaga

Is the Europa Point stadium an AstroTurf or grass pitch?

I'd personally save your money and make a trip to Copenhagen where you will be guaranteed a seat in a fantastic football stadium. It will be like Benfica, PSG, Gothenburg. On the other hand, travelling to Gibraltar would be like heading down to watch us play in Monaghan in a heatwave.
Jokes aside, Gibraltar would be a fantastic trip and we should go there expecting a win. But the risk of having no ticket, watching in a pub and playing in a cricket field does take the shine off it a bit. I know our own stadium situation is a joke with only 2k capacity but 770 is beyond a joke.

If it is a cricket field then it should be grass. Not sure if that is actually true about the cricket field but that's what i heard.Keyser Soze wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 7:53 pm Is the Europa Point stadium an AstroTurf or grass pitch?

It's a multipurpose stadium used for football, rugby and cricket amongst other things. An artificial pitch with a running track around it.
It's a game we should win, in the sunshine and an easy location to get to. A perfect away trip... As long as you get a ticket.

A long way to go without a ticket. That's the game changer...Nige92 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2024 11:24 am It's a multipurpose stadium used for football, rugby and cricket amongst other things. An artificial pitch with a running track around it.

Too true. Pay a fortune to watch it in a pub? No thank you. Hope to manage Copenhagen.

Anyone know when the ticket process will be communicated ? I don’t want to book flights without a ticket guaranteed.

I may be wrong but usually one pays at home sides venue. AFAIK we purchased ours in the Faroes.
Don't ask me to recall any earlier

Aye, Especially with a few blocks closed unnnecessarily by the club jumping the gun on the new stand, and the general unhapponess at the on-pitch performances up until recently.
Has the club learned nothing from the Dinamo Minsk game back in c.2018?

Especially as they aren't a top tier team, wonder what the charge will be for Copenhagen if we get through.stevebradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 4:18 pmAye, Especially with a few blocks closed unnnecessarily by the club jumping the gun on the new stand, and the general unhapponess at the on-pitch performances up until recently.

Re: European Competition 2024 Draw Details
I'd say it will be £27 as well.
There is likely to be a backlash about the pricing for the Magpies game, and I can see many deciding not to pay it.
If it goes that way, I hope the club ensure that anyone who buys a ticket for £27 to watch Magpies will be guaranteed a ticket to see Copenhagen, if we get through.

They should be paying fans £27 to turn up and watch a decent pub team.
£15 would have been reasonable, £20 if they want to max it out but charging fans any more just seems odd.
Not like the travel to Spain will be huge for them either... Don't understand it at all.
Copenhagen 100% - whilst still expensive i may pay up to see quality players as its not often we'll see that level in the Brandywell too often.

I heard that the 2nd round game will be switched with Copenhagen coming to the Brandywell( if we qualify) first. Not sure how true this is.marcoloco wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 10:28 am They should be paying fans £27 to turn up and watch a decent pub team.
