Good second half performance with two nice goals and we looked comfortable. Well done lads

Good win. Easy enough in the end. Had all the ball and all the chances. Both goals were actually very good.

My one gripe is Connellys distribution. We pass it from keeper to Connelly to McE and back again until we are pressed then it’s a hopeful punt up to an opponent.

We really need to drill into him and Shane that those routines do nothing but give the ball away. We need midfielders dropping back to collect the ball. It’s just a waste otherwise.

Galway were terrible BTW and didn’t really look like they were up to try and score. Claimed a hand ball but didn’t offer anything. May as well stayed at home. Maybe it worked last time for them but god they are poor.

A good 2nd half, 2 good goals and an important 3pts.

But why were we so bad for the 1st half? It was like a pre season friendly. We need to play for more than 45min each game.

The league is there for the taking this season, we have got to be a little but more adventurous though.

You do realise that this is a tactic to draw them out towards Derry? Then hit them on the counter... We very seldom gave the ball away last night in doing this. Our possession stats spoke for themselves 68% V 32%... As for midfielders dropping back, thats what Diallo and O'Reilly do and what Fats was doing before getting injured...

Galway werent terrible... They are set up not to lose and hopefully do what we try to do and hit on the counter which they did to good effect earlier on in the season... After Patching scored they opened up a bit more and that allowd us to play more freely...
I think your comment about them being poor is unwarranted... They are a newly promoted team and have the best defensive record in the league... Caulfield and Horgan are a good combination and know the league well... The fact that they are mid table at the moment and ahead of the likes of St. Pats, Bohs and Dundalk even speaks volumes... They are not poor they are just hard to break down...

Of course it's an effective tactic at opening teams up but only if you retain the ball. I reckon 4 times out of 5 Connelly (or McE) would revert to launching it forward and we lose the ball. Fine against Galway but better teams will punish us if we keep doing that.

Many shots on target did Galway manage last night? Playing 4-5-1 and managing zero shots on target and losing 2 nil is not a good night for them. Yes, they have been impressive in other games and yes they are doing well to be mid table. But they were out classed in every department and offered nothing. On another night it could have been 4 or 5 nil.

Hay regret NOTHING you are a fan you have a right to speak out Listen it was a long day getting from Belfast down but I can tell you I was buzzing going home Two beautiful beautiful goals Off the ball running by Duffy was exquisite the pass the best I’ve seen Second goal,attack on near post ALL my posts over 2cyears have featured a wish to see this long forgotten ploy which won West Ham a lot and England the 66 World Cup so nostalgia set in with me now ive seen it I hope I see it again But Hay 90 mins v Dundalk 50 mins v W ford then the first half (taking out the first 9 mins or so ) v Gslway admit it ….were turgid … There’s no,point NOT saying it. But hang in there my son Shoot fronm the hip no offence taken Btw Brandy and are Siamese twins but he wasn’t told lol
