Rory Brown has signed for Coleraine. I suspect that means that Maher is likely to see out the final year of his contract.

Keyser Someone showed me that he’d signed. Btw hopevI wasn’t mistaken for a scout being at Dungannon. Just rubbing my legs together to keep warm not to light a fire Dib dib bib lol lol scouts motto. Sorry tho I jumped too soon was certain what I was told was accurate. The Porter thing bothers me tho he looked a cracker and one of our ownKeyser Soze wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 3:22 am It was in the Belfast Telegraph @eugenio

Re: Squad 2024
I have seen Dungannon quite a few times recently, the player McGee is a good player but absolutely not better than Boyce or possibly even Porter. If we need a right back, Dumigan or even Jackie would be just as good back-up to Boyce.
Good irish league player - yes; League of ireland quality I am not so sure.
£40,000 paid by Linfield to get him - huge huge money.
Standard in the Irish league this year is well well short of LOI, I go to 3-4 games each weekend of all levels and have seen very very few players who would even make our squad.
Chris Shields is well past his past by now, but still possibly the best player in the league.
Best striker I have seen in terms of awareness, strength and first touch etc; would still be Junior - wasted at Glentoran, who are a joke team. He is going through the motions, but there is def a player in there still.
He could still do a job for us, and last season would have pulled 8-10 goals. Better bet than Mullen, McGonigle and Cian Kavanagh in terms of what I have seen. Would have have been a very useful player coming off the bench last season. Also decent in the air too.
For a 6 month loan signing to June until Whelan fit - could be a shrewd move.

Re: Squad 2024
Should we be concerned about the Hoban deal?
Thought he'd have been revealed by now, considering we let one of our forwards leave a few days ago.

But married a Derry girl and was a lot closer to it than some... Hes also our all time leading scorer but sure nitpick at the fact hes not from the City... Never wanted to leave the club but matters aside hes still a Derry icon...

The clubs official website is a bit behind, due an update, of what the panel is so far this season. There’s a good number who have gone still there.
Looking here hopefully, to see what the squad now consists of so far.
