This season I have decided to launch a new podcast to compliment our coverage on Drive 105 Match Night Live.
Talk of the Terraces, in the future, will look at issues discussed by the fans and wider community leading up to each episode. However, this first addition will serve as a preview to the new season and our radio coverage. It is available on our Audioboom, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and a whole list of other services.
Talk of The Terraces is your ultimate season preview for Derry City FC, hosted by Mikhail Kennedy, Eddie Seydak, and Dee Curran.
As the new campaign kicks off, we break down the key signings, tactical shifts, and title ambitions for the Candystripes. Can Derry challenge for the league? Who are the players to watch? Join us as we discuss all this and more, bringing expert analysis, fan perspectives, and behind-the-scenes insight into the season ahead.
Thanks Dee. Tried to get a listen but having audio issues on both Spotify and on Audioboom via Chrome browser on my android phone. The music intro plays fine but once the talking starts its like a distorted robot. Anyone else having issues?
Funny later yesterday I tried it on an Amazon Echo Dot and it happened. I can't put my finger on it because there is no correlation between the devices or the circumstances.
You JM had the problem on Airpods (first time the issue was raised with an Apple device), Neutrino on an android phone and I am getting this squishy noise on the echo. Before the issue with the echo at dinner time yesterday I could get it working on my MacBook, my Phone (An Android), on my partner's phone (iPhone) and on different platforms (Spotify, Amazon Music, AudioBoom and Pocketcast). I was running tests for a couple of hours last night but because it is working for people on different devices and platforms, it's hard to pinpoint the cause of fault. It isn't happening to everyone on the same device or platform. If it was a Spotify issue across the board, Spotify could assist. If it was a device type (Android, Apple, Google etc.), I could say it was the file compression and I could fix it. Unfortunately It almost seems like random selection instead of collectively. It is really puzzling. I can only apologise and I am continuing to look into it because I want to prevent it happening again.
Just to confuse things more Dee, I had the same android phone connected to the car Bluetooth yesterday and the sound was perfect through that.. Go figure.
Anyway great episode, looking forward to the next one. Thanks.

That is mental. As I said I can't put my finger on it and it is driving me mad. I have another Derry Nostalgic to go up online today and sadly it is going to have to go up on Youtube instead of audio based sites because we will encounter the same issue.
Talk of the Terraces is back! Dee Curran and Institute attacker Mikhail Kennedy are joined by Stephen McClelland to break down the biggest talking points from the opening six games of the season.
Mikhail on why League of Ireland pitches need better maintenance Does the LOI need VAR to protect its credibility? Who has been the standout player so far? Tiarnan Lynch’s focus on xG and data—game-changer or overhyped?

Later than hoped.

Some people like data analysis in football, some don't. I like it. Used properly and in context, xG can be a really useful tool for managers and players. But what I really hate, are the Mikhail Kennedys of the world: "xG? I hate it.....although, I don't know what it is or how it works, I just hate it". Jamie Redknapp did the same on Sky a few months back. It's not rocket science. Learn what it is first, then comment on it. At least Stephen tried. But all in all, a good enjoyable chat again.
