Eugene, typical Harps had the sideline as narrow as possible. Ball bobbling about on quite a grassy surface. You can imagine the quality! Some top men missing. Fats only on last 20 minutes and many subs by then. We were better team playing most of the first 45 in their half. Connoly, Ben Doherty and Mc Mullan right wing stood out for me.

Some decent goals there for both sides.

Pitch dreadful, bumpy & slow, but again that applies to both teams.

A good workout in the end.

Marco I’m worried after the debacle last season when pre season cost us injuries that hurt That pitch in Finn pk was not suitable for a game God knows what damage to some it MIGHT have caused . Derry NEED to be better at organisation than this I think

I think the friendlies are a marriage of convenience- all north west teams. the pitch was poor but as you say you know what you’re getting when you go there so it’s our choice. Thankfully no injuries which is the main thing in these games.

Why would he be there? He's not employed by the club any more.

Pitch like a farmers field. How long was the grass! Not sure how anyone is meant to be able to play football on that. Suppose it is January.

First 2 goals very nice.

He is still being paid by the club, he isn't assistant manager any longer, but he has a contract

I'd say the club are hoping he gets offered another job elsewhere, something like the Coleraine managers job when it becomes available
