Re. 'behind closed doors' is it possible the home clubs didn't want to cater for a handful of visiting fans? (cost etc)

I'd prefer this to be honest
Compensation to attract Paddy (or was he out of contract?)
Compensation to pay Paddy off
Compensation to bring in a new man

With 1 week remaining you'd think this would be sorted out soon enough.

If we want to stay above Pats and cement 2nd spot we need to be on it.

Looks like we let Paddy go too soon, now scrambling around for a new assistant manager. I'd say the fans forum will be some Craic.

It really wasn't clear what value Paddy was adding though TBH.

When Renny was there, he was on his feet constantly in the dugout and fully engaged with players and the match alongside Higgins. For most of the time that Paddy was there, he seemed to be sat on the bench. I sit in the Mark Farren stand and to be honest forgot we even had Paddy as the No.2 half the time, as you hardly saw him on matchdays.

Maybe Paddy was acting on instructions from his friend, Ruadhri.
