Great set of results today.

Fair to say we’ve gotten away with it this season.

Avoid defeat and we get 2nd place.

Hats off to Rovers. Worthy champions in the end. Poor showing but still superior to the rest when it mattered most.

To an extent we "got out of jail". Results went for us. What a difference a goal makes! That was the difference for Europe, the cup and so many games this season. If only... But now we can relax somewhat. And sure we might sign that badly needed striker next season.

Better second half than first from our point of view. Cork in the first half had the better of chances and forced Maher into a few saves. Second half we came out with a bit more drive as evident from Duffy's early shot off the post. Boyce's finish was something else and his best for the club, followed by the finish at Sligo in 2021.

European Qualification secured but this has been a lesser season than last year. No trophy, lesser points tally than last year and more loses overall.

If Dundalk don't get 4th then Patrick Hoban would be a solid addition.

What’s a game of football without tension and a bit of icing with last gasp goals at times to win.
A team that entertains will keep the interest but not necessarily win titles.
We haven’t done bad - 2nd place maybe, a bit of spice in qualifying for Europe, best defence and 3rd best total in goals for.
That’s a good basis for a successful league title next year and the younger players maturing into the team.

32. Id sooner have Hoban and all his experience than taking a punt on 3rd rate Scottish strikers or injury prone players that can't make a meaningful contribution. Some questionable transfer dealings in recent years with too many hit and miss.

On a lighter note I loved the Cork bloke on LOI wanting to see us in candy stripes He saw it gave us an edge He hated the yellow kit as much as we oldies when the Wolves kit was introduced as our First kit think it was 59 poss Oh how we fans hated it

Even though the kit got some positive reaction when released, I think we will look back in years to come as it being one of our worst ever kits.

Away kit should only ever be worn if the home kit clashes.

Having said that, it's not just the LOI who does this. If you watch all the leagues, you'd often see teams wearing alternative kits when they don't need to. Some even wear alternative kits when they are the home team.

All about selling jerseys I'd guess.

Can someone please explain something to me... ?

We play in red and white stripes. Does that rule out an all white away top against teams like St Pats or Sligo who may have a hint of white in their tops? Obviously wouldnt work v Dundlak.

Also, would the same problem arise if we used a white / blue stripe away top?
