It won't be ready until Summer 2024 - well after the season has begun. And construction of it will require the demolition of Blocks A and B.

Block A isn't an issue, as it's always kept for away fans. Though it will mean the furthest Block at the ed of the southennd will instead be kept for away fans. Presumably there are people at that far end with season tickets? And are there also in Block B ? If so, they're all going to lose their seats next year and have to relocate somewhere else. All whilst the stadium's capacity is temporarily reduced until the new terrace opens.

So tickets will be even harder to get than now for half of next season. Even more reason to get a season ticket sorted if you can
If there's reduced capacity surely it'll just mean less general sale tickets. ST holders will be reseated i'd imagine.

You make a good point but its a very short term issue that will quickly be resolved. How many games are involved up to the mid season break? Circa 8 games?

I am not sure if the lights are positioned correctly but I struggled in the first half to see who the players were (not helped either by Rovers numbers being badly printed). It seemed to improve slightly in the second half. Is this a common issue for spectators on that side or was it a one off?
The lights seem brighter over at the Mark Farren side maybe because the lighting for the stand is bright, compared to the glow of pitch lighting.
I know UEFA have set competitions at differing levels to ready for a super league that they will control and benefit their pockets giving a back door to the “we are institution” clubs who think they have more of a right than the grass roots clubs/supporters. I don’t support any cross water clubs but will watch the odd match and regularly give the pundits a bye. A pundits programme I find varied and entertaining is OFF THE BALL on NEWSTALK .

No ST in block B this along with block A is kept for away fans & if tickets are returned from away allocation it is block B that goes on general sale. Block C is where the ST seats start from, interesting to see what they do with the ST holders from K,L,M until the new North stand is complete

Suspect there'll be little or no tickets available for general sale. Fans need to accept a degree of short term disruption to enable us to benefit from the new stand in the long term. All being well it'll be up and running mid-season and then the issue disappears.

Our attendance will fall by about 400 once those two sections are removed and when the terrace opens it will be three games after it is opened before it can admit full capacity.

Unless you set up some friendlies/events to tick the box for that in between matches. Or urge everyone to go to a Stute game to act as one of the test events :D

Depending on weather there is a possibility new stand would no be far from finished for first match but fhis being Ireland we can get a bad winter but hopefully it won't be too far from being finished and cause little disruption as possible.

The club has quoted a date like June for completion. So seems that there is no chance of it being finished anywhere near the start of the season.

Mid season break seems like a reasonable timeline.

Yeah I would suspect that's what will happen but sections A & B (away sections) are being demolished as part of the new development & the club's plan is to move the away fans to K,L,M which are all ST blocks. What happens to the fans in those blocks until the new stand is finished as I'd imagine that away fans will have to be accomodated?

An article in Tuesday's Journal said it would be starting in the next few weeks.
