Fair to say we could have gotten an easier draw. In saying that, if we get through, we'll be firm favourites for the cup. A game to play our strongest team in I'd suggest

In my opinion...

Dummigan, Connolly, McJannett, Doherty
O'Reilly, Diallo, Fats
McMullan, Mullan, Duffy

Re: FAI Cup Second Round Draw
Having seen him play for Partick Thistle a number of times last season, I think he'll prove to be a better fit for our team than the other two forwards. I feel he's a better player at linking play, will be more involved in build up and get on the end of things.
Connolly starts ahead of Shane, and McJannett is a left footed CB I'd go with him. Doherty over Coll as he offers more threat going forward and has been one of our better players so far. Dummigan over Boyce as he's better on the ball and can slide into Midfield in build up.
Sure isn't it great to have options!

Mullan has played 1 hour of football and looks like a Harps signing. Early days and not his fault as he's not match fit and just arrived at the club but to throw him into your best 11? That's a big shout.

If we're talking about skill set and what I think he can bring to the team v the other options, then yes. He'll get more minutes under his belt and become more familiar with the team by the time this game rolls around.

Opinions yes but these players Iโve mentioned have been our best since the start of season continually so Dummican can play mid field so he goes in over Boyce A player just signed and looks hopeless goes straight into BEST team strange btw Coll doesnโt replace Doherty Doherty moves up to Duffy where the two are BEST and have been. Defensively Coll is streets aheadNige92 wrote: โTue Jul 25, 2023 9:40 pm Having seen him play for Partick Thistle a number of times last season, I think he'll prove to be a better fit for our team than the other two forwards.
