Some nervy moments in that half. They've created the better chances and look the better team at this point.

I fairness, he saw the 4-3-3 wasn't working, told Maher to go down so he could get instructions on and changed the flow of the game towards the end of the half. On top so far here

Not much between the teams.
LOI teams have been poor all week in Europe.

No goal to show for it but that was a very encouraging 2nd half. Started creating more opportunities as the game went along. Would fancy us to go through

cheers!

Thought we dominated the ball for large spells but still think they had the better chances.

We lost an outlet when McMullen went off. Good player. Kavenaghs preference to run into the middle means we get a bit congested and lose any width down that right side.

Mullen offered little up front though hardly his fault as he's just in the door - dont get how is he starting that game ahead of McGonigle who had several half chances in the 2nd half?

Positive enough performance away from home (on a plastic pitch) and should have enough quality to win it next week.

It looked like Mullan was asked to play a false 9 position in the first half, dropping to pick up their #11 (I think). We better had control so it's not a surprise he didn't have much joy going forward.

What's the chances of us going for it next Thursday and maybe play 2 up front?

Poor enough game. Torshavn had a good opening 20 mins then we controlled the game but looked poor up front. With a full house next week hopefully we can be a bit more clinical.

The tie is very much alive for next week. Should be a packed house at the Brandy :D

Think they tired badly.
We should go at them full tilt from the off next week.

Wasn’t a entertaining match, but when I tried Drive 105 I got a bit more enthusiasm from their commentators who kept up with play.
Surprised at such a small crowd when they normally play before crowds of 6000!
Must bring the radio to listen to 105 next week and a full house.
They looked to have Derry stretched in the first half.

Derry again started slowly and we’re a yard off their men for the first 20 minutes. After that they came in to the game and looked dangerous when they got the ball forward quickly. Sadly started 2nd half slowly again but dominated the last 15 minutes of the game and could have nicked it with a couple of good chances. All to play for next week.

Their average attendance is 500 or so.
This season, its 406

Must have been the capacity of their national ground I heard before I nodded off.
Was that our ‘groundsman’ with the hose watering.
Is there nobody to give him a hand dragging hoses etc round when in the Brandywell.

I did the same and I am glad you did too. Worth reminding everyone that those involved in the broadcast tonight were there at their own cost as volunteers.
