The more i thought about it the more i realised he asked one of his mates in the media to write the story. It just made no sense.

I don't think anyone expected it to happen. Being interviewed and being offered it are two completely different things. Was he offered it and turned it down? I have no idea but I'd be surprised if that was the case.

Is Barnsley Interested in him, or is he interested in Barnsley? The run hes on now, i cant see anyone bein interested, Maybe its Time For Higgins to move on, give Paddy McLaughlin a go, saying that he'll prob want to bring Paddy with him.. Thoughts!

Would he not have given permission to Barnsley to talk to Higgnins?

He didn't get it. It's gone to Neill Collins from Tampa Bay Rowdies.

All completely normal. No harm Barnsley asking permission to speak and no harm him speaking to them if permission is granted. All part and parcel of football. Give us all something to consider over the past week. But no one on here really expected anything to come from it.

Apparently Ruadhri is 2nd favourite for the Notts County job

He has a betting odd because he was linked to the job two years ago, there is no other basis. People are seeing this and are using it as an opportunity to grind their axes, sharpen their pitchforks and light their touches over what happened with Paddy.

It's probably another job he didn't ''apply" for.

How can he apply for anything? Notts County has only just opened applications as Luke Williams left three days ago to go to Swansea.

This baffles me. Higgins has one of the highest budgets in the league, yet hasn't delivered the main objective he's been given yet (and hasn't achieved a huge amount beyond that. We qualified for Europe and won FAI Cups before him). I just don't see why a club in England would rate him. On what basis?

Good league record, good run in Europe recently, has experience in a national team setup. Plus, it's Notts County in League Two; it's not like he's being linked wth Man City.
