Derry City v Sligo Rovers Match Thread
Appears online ticket allocation has sold out.
Think it is fair to say we have underperformed against Sligo in our two previous games this year, in particular at the Showgrounds. Sligo themselves are very inconsistent. They have gone from three defeats to beating Bohemians and had a similar run when they last met us.
Our form at the Brandywell this year has been poor to say the least and teams do not seem intimidated by the prospect of playing in the Brandywell. With the distraction of Europe and the first leg next week, you'd hope for some positivity going into the break of domestic games.
Paul McMullan should be cleared to feature on Friday, so that will bolster the attacking options. After receiving 5 yellows for the year, Ben Doherty should be set to miss this one through suspension.
All news, predictions and reactions can be posted here. If you can't be at the match, it will be live on the usual outlets; LOITV, BBC Radio Foyle and Drive 105

More tickets made available online.
Also, Adam O'Reilly is the only Derry player listed as suspended. Doherty is not.

Duffy, McEleney and Patching all in training. Sounds like the two new lads are available too.brandyball wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:31 pm Match Preview

Strong bench now too, should be no excuses now.

Guess who's back.... Patching's back... Tell a friend.
4 points behind Rovers, full squad plus new players in... We're going to win the league

A much needed win. Deserved it but still need to do better in the final third.
Hopefully with the other teams in the top four dropping points we can kick on from here.

McMullan hit the ground running. Good to see a player that likes to get the head down, beat a player and whip the ball in.
