I know we've been poor and inconsistent this year but Higgins deserves at least until the end of the season. Finishing second and winning the cup should give him some time.

Hopefully our form picks up when Duffy and mceleney returns and we get a few new players in.

Paddy I won’t slate your loyalty ever but you see it not as simple We have no plan No set piece set up No answer to tinkering Subs played according to the clock It’s his lack of ability to know the game apart from the boring boring keep the slow ball muck He got a fortune He has a captive audience in the Brandy and great away support BUT his lack of ability to know /read the game is baffling He has the Coaching badges but that means little when you bore and frustrate your own fantastic fans. Give someone else a go ….. now

Let’s hope with our new signing and a bit of luck getting people back from injury that we can go on a run.

McEleney and Patching are the 2 midfieiders who see a forward pass, Both been injured most of the season . That's why we're not been playing front foot football. Football isn't a complicated game, you have defender's , defensive midfielders, attacking midfielders, etc but if youve no midfielders with vision that see a pass at an elite level you'll struggle.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned.

It has been mentioned. Often.

As for Patching and Fats, well the latter since he arrived has more or less played in front of the back four. Didn't he get 1 goal last season? That's some attacking midfielder.

And Patching, well he made his name on set pieces, and when he was playing would also play a lot of sideways and backwards passes, like the rest of the midfield. He wasn't the sort of driving midfielder to break defensive lines and arrive in the box or behind a defence. He was too fond of tippy tippy stuff that often went nowhere. And probably the reason he was dropped from the team.

We had a driving midfielder that broke defensive lines until our Manager shipped him out.

This- Thomson was the only one last season that did this and he was never replaced. And the thought process of putting one of the country's most attacking players and playing him in front of the back four is just baffling. The way we played last season and this season so far I just don't see where we are going under Higgins. People talk about winning the cup last year and finishing second- we still played pretty poor stuff last year and had all home matches in the cup run.

Fats no longer wants to play further forward. It was a decision he had made before signing back for the club, and was discussed with Higgins before he signed.

Where did you read or hear this?
Because I have never seen or heard either Patrick or RH say it.

That is where he played with Dundalk for at least two seasons before he left to join us. I don't understand why everyone is shocked by this.

Just because they haven't said it in an interview, doesn't mean it wasn't spoken about before he signed, between them both...
