Sligo Rovers v Derry City FC Match Thread

Post by TenaciousDee »

The Derry allocation is now sold out. It promises to be a great atmosphere, but what of the match itself?

Feel free to post all match predictions and build-up here. If you can't travel it is live on LOITV, BBC Radio Foyle and Drive 105

Karen Pyne has posted on social media that if you have no ticket, do not travel. I know of one person who had bought home tickets and they had been cancelled once they were purchased. If you did the same, double check your emails (inbox and junk) and check for a ticket cancellation. I wouldn't advise brass necking it either

If we want to win the league these are matches that we need to win- especially with Rovers losing tonight. 1 nil Derry.

The away allocation is. Home fans still had tickets today because people in work used a co-workers address in Sligo to buy home tickets.

Bohs have been on the slide the last month or so. Won't figure at the business end of the season.

But yes, these are the games we need to be winning if we hope to get close to winning the league. Since we tend to play better away, hoping for 3pts

Despite some poor results, mainly off the back of games involving red cards, Shams have been the best team in the league again to this point. The stats bare it out. They even gave us a 7 point head start. We would need to see an improvement in performances in order to stay ahead. Long season left to go...

Shamrock Rovers players must have had the head staggers - 3 sent off. This is going be a tight league

Poor so far, really missing a centre forward and O’ Neill looks like a fish out of water.

They had 1 job to do. Queue Higgins post match interview ' I said Sligo was a hard place to come to Sligo have good players Sligo are in a false position,, Blah Blah Blah. Nothing to do with his strange decision to start without a centre forward?
