Re: Derry City Vs UCD Match Thread
Good result, albeit with a few jittery moments in the 2nd half.
Didn't have to get out of 2nd gear really.
Thought someone had royally messed up with the 6 subs until Greengo mentioned on commentary that 1 was a concussion sub - Doherty, I assume?

Re: Derry City Vs UCD Match Thread
UCD replaced a player (Clarke) because of a concussion in the first half. New rules that took affect at the World Cup allows for the concussion sub for UCD, bringing the tally to 6. However, the opposing side is to be granted their own extra substitution in such instances so as to avoid any advantage being gained.

Great result and solid performance. No real panic apart from their goal back at 3 -1. Well organised performance from DCFC tonight. RHRAWA

I thought that was very disrespectful of us to score more than one goal

Re: Derry City Vs UCD Match Thread
Good night all round. Nothing won but great to be back on top. And here’s a thing. Both Derry and shams have played 9 home games at this stage (half way). Shams have 15 points from their 9 on their lovely big grass pitch and Derry have 14 points from our 9 on our ‘horrible’ plastic pitch……
What does this mean? Would make a man think there is some crap talked by journalists and fans about the impact of the plastic pitch…….

If we won 1-0 we'd still be top. But that would have been unacceptable to some
