As for Akintunde he'd work all day for you and was a good outlet for us to get us up the pitch. But for us to get to the next level and to try and catch Rovers we need to be ruthless and not be sentimental- if we can get better in then the other player needs to go. Best of luck James- think there'll be a few LoI suitors for him..

We all loved Aki but he just wasn’t going to score the goals to turn the draws into wins that cost us last year. Whelan should be a step up from Smyth & Aki in getting those goals. Growing stronger……..

James' strengths are his ability to hold the ball up and play with his back to goal. His physical strength and commitment were a great benefit to the team. He's chipped in with goals too but he's not an out and out goal scorer in that respect.

Wish him all the very best. Delighted he left with a smile on his face and a medal.

You need to be ruthless. It's also a sign to others that no one is safe in the team. That includes some of the big earners.

Like most on here we are sorry to see James go. He didn’t hide in the game giving all when he was on.

Hope he is given a good reception when he returns to show the respect we have for him.

A likeable character who I would rather not like to see playing against us.
