Was that not the Shield or League Cup Final when Hegarty scored a winner in the top corner?

Marco prob right sorry Crack scored v Shels in L cup final I’m a bit confused Can you rem the scores over the 2,legs in that one Hegarty scored Crack played v Sligo in the FAI cup,at Landsdown rd when we lost He was 100% unlike a lot we have seen in our shirts over the past 3vyears

It was the Irish News Cup. We were 3-0 down from the first leg, Sligo took the lead on the night and we then scored 5 to win 5-4 which included a rocket from 40 yards from Paul Hegarty, it might have been 20 yards but it gets further out as the years go by. There was only about 200-300 in the Brandy for the match

Got it now it was an Irish News cup played among North west sidescDerrysvfirstbleg wascac3v0mdefeat at Sligo Sligo scored first in Brandy so we were 0 4 Down yet won 5 1 I mistakenly mixes crack with Hegarty who also was 100% in all his games with us

I worked with Big Crack and he was truly one of the good guys. A gentle soul, RIP...

Total gentleman, always said hello when passing & I remember a chat I had with him a few years ago it turned out he missed out in one trophy with us (think it was FAI Cup). If he'd won that he would've been the first player in history to win the LOI/IL, FAI/Irish Cup as well as both League Cups.
