My feed is full of every other club building their squads and adding players. We meanwhile are haemorrhaging what seems like our entire squad including apparently the few I'd like to have kept. This is the absolute crux of what is wrong at this club. Reactive rather than proactive. It will be too late again when people get their shit together and we'll be scrabbling around paying inflated wages for the players nobody else wants. And then forced to look at players on loan struggling to get into Leyton Orients U23 side. I fear massively for next season.

Exactly. Even Harps are adding players that would walk into our first team. This is precisely why Devine and Paddy (if he's responsible) need to accept their responsibility for the mess they've created. Devine has been there 2 years and 4 transfer windows and were worse off than when he joined. Continuity and planning is everything and were awful at it. Our approach seems to be "what NI youth internationals did Devine work with or did Paddy meet during his days across the water". Most signings were old acquaintances rather than players that had been identified by scouts. We've been a mess this year and pissed an awful lot of money away. Any out of contract player with offers elsewhere would be mad to hang around at this circus.

There's a few guys settled locally who will want to stay. The remaining out of contract players will be back in England looking for new clubs.
