You're missing one point here. Surely if season tickets are being sold in the north and so would be subject to uk vat.

All money taken at the gate will be tax free so?

I notice the fixtures list all our games for the entire season in Buncrana. Has it been confirmed we'll play the full season there?

The company is still in the UK so do we have to pay VAT on all our takings in the Republic of Ireland?

If not, why couldn't we season tickets in the Republic of Ireland too?

I honestly dont have a clue Chalkie, I was just pointing out that it was either no change or if we
had a southern registered compnay (as well asa UK one - normal business practice),
then we would not be liable for tax. I doubt its worth it for one season though.

It certainly wont be worse tax wise playing in the south for a season

Cant see why not, worst case scenario is the lone moor road side is closed to fans while the stand is extended.

Popped over yesterday. Pic above shows some of the massive clearance needed to bring all ground levels down. Nice to see a good supporter like Brolly doing clearance in preparation for new build.
Mixed feelings - sad to see so much history disappear but equally glad to see development.

Are they going to take the sponsorship signs down or they going also? I reckon businesses have paid a bit to get these made

Signs were being pulled around by diggers working on the pitch perimeter so I expect they are being dumped.
Maybe we'll get electronic ones in new stadium !!

Would say the advert boards on the southend park stand should be pretty safe from the diggers but sure the ones around the rest of the ground were ready for dumping anyhow.

Anybody know what the procedure is here, is the old turf and top soil removed to a certain level and then a new layer is built up with hardcore before a top layer of tarmac is put down on which the 3g pitch itself is layed on.

guy on site told me there is a lot of top soil to be removed so that a much lower level is achieved throughout the whole site. I think he included the showgrounds next door

Will take a good few months to remove all that top soil so its becoming pretty obvious why the work on the stadium will take a year when you factor in the new stand, perimeter walls and greyhound track in showgrounds have also to be built. Thanks Kitwe for keeping us updated.
