Don't think we should be letting anyone go until a replacement is in the door.

And / or a decent fee is paid.
Season will be over shortly but if its not worked out for him due to family reasons and he can't juggle his commitments then wish him all the best, but only after things are resolved. We need to act professionally and as someone else pointed out these long weekends seem to leave us wide open for a long distance arrangements which isnt an ideal way to run a club.

I agree. If Thomas moves on then we need someone to come in immediately. It could be coincidence but last season allowing McJannett to leave without a replacement coming straight in seemed to be the beginning of our downfall in the title chase.

The summer window last season was unreal. Idehen, Davenport, Widsom, Roberston. Pack of useless heurs - 3 of which were on 18 month deals!
& Higgins won't be quick to come back looking for them to take to Coleraine
lol imagine how funny would that be - I'd need to be worked with
He's coming back looking for players alright but none of the above. Derry News reporting he wants Pat Hoban & Sam Todd

Diallo, Mullen & McMullen too. Strange that he isn't looking for Sean Robertson from Rovers & Idehan or Davenport from us.....

Where's the 2 or 3 signings Tiernan was supposed to be looking for? We need something to change as I can't see much hope for any progress with the current squad.

Our goalkeeping coach has been offered a role withthe UAE's Women's international team, while Higgins is trying to get him to Coleraine also.
He is very good at what he does, so this would be a loss.
No idea why he would go to Coleraine, though.

its obvious from performances and listening to TL, he wants and we badly need cover and competition for Winchester as holding midfielder
And Boyce at right back, either of them is missing and the system TL wants to play is all over the lace or we place someone out of position.
TL clearly doesnt like OReilly in Winchester's place and wants him pushing forward.
That third signing could easily be a center half (we still look at least 2 players short of a good back 3 there despite having 4 of them.),
or a striker, (again even though we have four competing for 1 place).
Id guess it would be a center half and there are a few of them not up to the level we are competing at,

Well Mahers form has dropped off a cliff this season, so not sure how he's very good at what he does?

Glib.
I would encourage you to research the guy before casting an uninformed opinion.

How is it uninformed?
Ive watched every game this season, and Mahers form has dropped dramatically.
Im only stating fact. Do you disagree?
Yet his coach is "very good at his job". Well the performances of those under him doesnt back this up.

I don't disagree that Maher is not at his best yet, however, your general point on the goalkeeper coach is very uninformed - you are not stating objective facts, please see below.
Since Michael Dougherty, our goalkeeper coach, joined in December 2022:
2023 Season
- Maher kept 18 clean sheets in the Premier Division -
50% - most in the league
- Maher kept 24 clean sheets across all competitions, earning him the
League’s Golden Glove and Goalkeeper of the Year
- Derry City conceded just 24 goals in 36 games,
the best defensive record in the league
2024 Season
- 13 clean sheets in 36 league games (~36% clean sheet rate, conceding 31 goals, ~0.86 goals per game)
- Ranked 3rd in the league for clean sheets
- Nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year
He’s kept 6 clean sheets this season and, yes, while he’s made a few mistakes and hasn’t hit peak form yet, he’s been ever-present in a squad with several new defensive players. His top-tier performance against St Pat’s, including a brilliant one-handed save that secured 3 points, shows his quality.
The player(s) have to take responsibility for poor performances.
The coach is very good at what he does - he was invited to work with Atlanta United and Georgia State during the mid-season break. Plus, he holds a UEFA A License, is a UEFA Goalkeeping Coach Educator, and has worked with some big clubs & international set ups. That doesn’t come by accident. However, you are entitled to your opinion of course - if you find me a better goalkeeping coach in the league, I'll take him.

Not sure the comparison holds. Better comparison would be with a specialist coach.
Having coaching qualifications is not something to desire.
Sounds like there will be a big turnover of players in summer. That must be a recognition that some signings this year have failed. Despite being told we were very careful about who was being brought in.

I agree - it is a clear admission that the signings have been poor.
Given Lynch's budget was increased from what Ruaidhri was working with (already a handsome budget) - he deserves to be criticised.
The club has no real oversight. S Barrett knows about players? Do we even have a scouting system? We all know the answers to these questions, just go on the Rovers website and look at their chain of command behind the scenes: Academy Director, Sporting Director etc. Don't get me started - we're miles off it, and so long as we are, we'll never win that league.
Mark McChrystal is 'Technical Director' - what does that even mean? Pure fluff.
