" 2nd half we were very very good, the players gave their all".

And what about the 1st half Ruairdhri?
It's a 90min game, not a 45min game like you seem to think it is.
You're allowed to have a go in the 1st half too.
Bluffer is right.

Re: St Pats vs Derry City
He is a poor manager.
Everytime I hear him talk, I always wonder how he is capable of motivating players. Be that on the training pitch or in the dressing room.
But even aside from that, I think he is not just tactically naive, but more that he is tactically inept. Team selections have baffled on many occasions, with players out of position. Rarely see a tactical switch mid-game that produced positive change.
Transfer decisions have also been very questionable, and not just players brought in. Some signed and not given quality game time, some let go who should definitely been kept.
All factors that lead to poor results and some brutal performances. Would another side in the Premier Division actively pursue Higgins as manager? I wouldn't think so.

Just heard him on Rte radio after last night's game (I managed to stay awake throughout the interview), and a big thing to note he said that we have had too many draws, not just this season but in the last 3 seasons.
Now let me think, what changed at the club 3 years ago before these "too many draws" started to happen?

He's clearly risk adverse.
He'd rather set up and settle for a draw than try and win the game.
Why go for 3 points when you can settle for 1 point.
We got away with one at home v Rovers (the dive) otherwise this farce would have ended sooner.
If anything, the big show down with Pats flattered him. We really were out of it weeks ago.
