We paid fees for both Mark Connolly and Pat Hoban.TenaciousDee wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:59 pm When was the last time we paid a fee for a player? Genuinely struggling to recall.

How'd he slip into the keeps net without any NI caps?!
Winchester confirmed.DeeDerry1975 wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 1:53 pm I'd say Winchester and Thomas will be announced as well today. The post from the club said 'all set up in Owenbeg for some handshakes and signings'
Looks like Michael Hegartys left.Neutrino wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 6:43 pm There are photos on the Journal website of the first days training at Owenbeg and a few of them show Fats as a coach. Was that ever confirmed?

He's a player co-ordinator
They had to be massive money spent. The money the new signings are on has to be a lot more than the ones that went out the door. Plus Boyce/Winchester/Thomas were still in contract hence a fee would've been needed.Keyser Soze wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:04 pm I think it's fairly obvious there is huge money being spent on this new management team, the backroom stuff, the signings/wages and Owenbeg.
I'd say this years budget must be a big increase over last season.

I wasn't expecting a challenge this year but with the money been pumped in I think it could be on the agenda. Loads of experience being signed hopefully it might actually get us over the line- finally.
Some other fans in the league are lmt taking our signings seriously from what I've read. They think we are buying a load of old crocks.davybhoy wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 8:23 pmThey had to be massive money spent.
