NAW, we just elected Martin to be leader of the republican wing of the DUP and you will note he is off to a flyer of the promised 50000 jobs with 70 payoffs at Seagate. Maybe he will deliver on his statement that he got us a new stadium by buying the old stand at the Oval and have it installed at Lone Moor road,paul60 wrote:What effect did our votes do to buck up the newly elected MLAs or is same old?

You're right, we dont need more nonsense about what the club should be doing when as I said previously its the council to blame so give your local rep a call and tell him to get his finger out which is what I did yesterdaymightymccourt wrote:Any chance of closing this page? Cant see it eugenio the buzz that was built up seems to have been destroyed by the break and going by the poor attendance and lack of atmosphere last friday i cant see there being a big crowd this week. Derry people just dont seem to want to come to matches during the summer months.eugenio wrote:We can expect the biggest crowd oftheseason tbis Friday.?A ny. He was surprised as he appeared to be of the opinion that the scheme was actively progressing from his involvement in committee work and he would check it out.TenaciousDee wrote:How did they respond to you?

Re: Brandywell Stadium Development
There was an ad in the paper last week from dc council for block booking of greyhound track. The question is, is this for immediate letting or after the redevelopment which means there is going to be no redevelopment or after redevelopment the doggie track will still be in the stadium Confused?

I have heard that the council forgot to carry out an environmental survey of the Lone Moor Side which needs done, and also apparently there is a power station which needs upgraded which powers the whole Lone Moor Road along with the ground which would need upgraded.

Anyone see the Southend Stand end where huge girders are pinned to the surrounding wall. The whole length of the stand. It looks frightening to say the least
