Only watched the game on LOITV the next day (LOITV this year is terrible, normally games went up straight after they were finished) but it was disappointing to see a flatness after the game last week as it made you question whether there really was any progress after Tolka.
Some players need fitness and time to get to know each other but I also feel maybe that players and managers coming from outside the league can often get caught out by it. I think Diallo, Doherty and Hoban should maybe have started.
It's the backwards step from Bohs that was the most concerning.
I was at Pats Sligo on Friday and I think Keena will be a huge threat, particularly against two 30 plus centre halves. Pats will be light in midfield though and looked a bit shaky at back so I think both teams will score but don't think Derry will win. In which case, 1 win in 4 puts Lynch under a bit of scrutiny already. Win and win against Galway though and it's a different story.
