Higgins wants to hang his head in shame. If he had anything about him he should go now.

Shocking performance tonight. Wisdom is a cart horse and having him and Connolly as a back 3 is ludicrous, we were slow and ponderous throughout. Davenport Wisdom and Diallo are worse players than we let go. That said if we were quicker going forward we would have a chance but no, too pedestrian. Higgins s as a player was conservative and the same as a manager. Our set pieces area joke so a full time team giving part time performances.

A lot of possession in the first half and created nothing. Second half was disgraceful. If we don't win the league this year we'll never win it.
We won’t win the league this year.
Or any year with this man in charge.

Tactically inept. Clueless. He has had the backing any manager would want and has overseen so many good players out the door. Selections poor, tactics non-existent.

Interesting timing. Who would you want in his place?

Stephen Kenny, but that ships sailed.

So we can’t get Kenny. If walks gets sacked who do we get?

Ridiculous to propose getting rid of him tonight. What little chance of league or cup remaining for us would be lost. Who the hell would improve things????

I'm not advocating he is sacked tonight.

But if he is in charge next season, I won't be attending games.

And good luck selling those extra 3000 tickets.

Thought they started OK without creating too much. But it was poor overall.

Two bad individual errors for goals.

For a ground like Drogheda's, think you need to hit a few shots from outside more. Was disappointed in quality of ball into box, one or two ok. Bizarrely only a point worse off. McMullan seemed reluctant to run ahead of man. Hard to know if that was an instruction or not.

Why is McMullan starting every, single, game?

He has been pretty awful for most of this season.
His crossing is so bad. Corners too.

why on earth would you not want him sacked now?

Our only win in the last 7 was because the waterford keeper threw the ball in the net.

This is getting ridiculous, and it needs to end.

Win the league we, somehow, may do but considering the money spent and squad at his disposal, it has been a shocker. 50% win rate

And for the 'you can't sack him now' brigade. Aye, can't disrupt our current 'form' and all this momentum we have (!!)

Wilson at CB had a shocker. Connelly was not much better. Shane is just not an option at this level. We’ve been slow to replace mcjannet and when we did it wasn’t with a cb. We’ve forgotten how to create chances and score. We’re a mess and it’s gone on too long.

At Pats you can see what Kenny is building. How they set up and play. Rovers the same though they’ve been below their usual standards. Then you’ve got shels, Derry, Sligo, Galway and Waterford that are all the same level. Yet our manager has had 3 seasons and a healthy budget.

Connolly had an absolute nightmare last night. How many times does he go down when one on one and then cry looking for a free. After he got booked, Frantz Pierrot could do what he wanted as Connolly couldnt touch him which exposed Wisdom. Watch the 2nd goal again and look at his run... its away from the play and makes no effort to get near the player, leaving Wisdom back tracking...
He obviously missed giving hollywood passes to Michael Duffy all night

Poor performance all round and with a semi final on the horizon our momentum is shocking...

Connolly went to ground several times rather than stand his ground. He does that when a player has the beating of him. Maher saved us on one occassion but Wisdom had a really poor game and was lucky not to give away a pen as well. Both giving the ball away cheaply and putting us under pressure needlessly. Obviously not helped bu the players in front of them (midfield was toothless) and Mullen was a spectator and Mcmullan was in the left back's pocket. Said it before but if we are title material then the league is in a shocking state.

We need a manager who has actually done something and won something in the game.

It's not like we don't have the money for it. We have a very expensive team of also-rans

Anywhere in world? Britain? Ireland? Has to have won league titles? What’s the minimum?

We have a manager who has won something btw.

Higgins hadn't won anything when he joined us. He'd just been someone else's second string. And to be honest, it has shown over the last 3yrs. He's just out of his depth really.

We need a proven winner. And we can certaonly afford one.

The Board must be worried about the fact they have 2,000+ extra tickets to sell for next year, when the crowds for large part of this year have been disappointing - even with the reduced capacity. Once it becomes easier to get tickets, I suspect a lot of people just won;t bother with an ST and will pick and choose their games instead. Almost certainly if Higgins is still there to serve up dire football.
