Jacob Davenport joins from Morecambe. That one went under the radar!

Potentially a new forward and a new defender to be added.

We. Need to make some movement in transfer market. Lots of other clubs making some quite astute signings.
We are so close to making it for the title that another striker and defender could make the difference.
Maybe the 2 triallists are in the pipeline.

Yeah, concerned about the 2 guys who were named as it looked like we would be signing them early July to add to Davenport.
Now approaching mid July and still no word.

Meanwhile Shels have signed 4-5, and they're Top.

Rumours that Coleraine are after Ciaran Harkin. Wouldn't blame him if he left.

Loan or Permanent?
Can't understand why he wouldn't stay FT and go to Coleraine.

A player who suffered two very serious injuries and does not look to have recovered physically. Yes, he cares about the club but sometimes the difficult thing to do is the right thing. If he goes, he can rebuild his career and get minutes under his belt. At Derry he's down the pecking order and doesn't appear able to climb it.

Has this been confirmed anywhere? Very sorry to see him go as I think he contributes a lot more to the team than is sometimes appreciated.
Drogheda at home was the ideal time to give him extra minutes but Higgins chose not to put him on. We've played plenty of other players when clearly not fit or still injured so I think it's a case of Higgins not rating him.

I've said before that the Club has too many long term injured players. Football is a brutal game. 1 injury can be devastating for a career. It's also a downside of short contracts as the players are taking on all the risk and the clubs are only liable for 8 months. Hence, i'm pleased that both Jackie and Colm were under longer contracts when they experienced their respective injuries. However, Clubs can't hold onto players out of sentiment. If they are injured or recovering then maybe a move away is the best for all concerned. All i'd say is I wish any injured player a speedy recovery and the best of luck regardless of who they are playing for.
