In fairness, they're going to be picking up the bill for maintaining it moving forwards - not the club. It's their stadium, so you need theor permission to do anything there anyway. And the council has precisely zero need themselves for that new stand.rodgers wrote: Wed Feb 14, 2024 3:45 pm https://www.derrycityfc.net/2024/02/sta ... -to-start/
I like how the Council have to be thanked. For a stand paid for by someone else handed over to them for free.
It’ll be pretty quiet. Is there not a percentage rule for away supporters.Keyser Soze wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:37 pm Great to see it starting.
Away tickets are limited to 75 for this season as a result.
The whole thing is madness. We didn't do the necessary ground works for the two side extensions to the MF stand just to save a few quid. Now years later, the cost of getting all that equipment back on site to do the grounds works is massively inflated. Short sighed is not even an explanation for it. What would have cost a few hundred K back in 2016 will now be ££££££ more due to cost inflation.barry wrote: Wed Feb 21, 2024 10:43 am Be interesting to see the revised costs for MF Stand completion. Suggestions Casement redevelopment has gone from £65 million to £220 million.
It’s a process. De-construction involves disconnecting power and services, removing the seats and roof, removing steel work etc then once everything is out you can commence demolitions of block work.stevebradley wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:07 pm Anyone know if work has actually started on the new stand yet?
Taking the seats out of Blocks A & B in the Southend before they needed to be removed has turned out to be a bad idea, and will have cost the club about £25k so far
Great to see that work has finally begun. Thanks for postingNige92 wrote: Mon Mar 25, 2024 6:34 pm Diggers have moved in.
