No surprise from a set piece. Drogheda not easy on the eye but have Derrys number from set pieces.

Jackie is out of his depth.
To be fair to him, he's not a RB.
Probably never played that position in his professional career. Big ask for him, ok it's not working.

That RB of Drogs is a good player.
MOTM in cup final, didn't give Duffy a sniff.
More of the same tonight.

Got out of jail with that late goal tonight. Although we did deserve a share of the spoils.
Let's hope we raise it a couple of levels for Rovers next week. Need Winchester back in the middle.

Jackie back to Colraine could happen… no point wasting his time as a squad player at Derry.
Lot of hoofball tonight. Lots of crosses into the box despite them having a few towering CBs. We’re not really set us to be a passing team.
Drogs sat quite deep so we were playing into their hands. They also had 2 great chances in 2nd half to win it but didn’t take them.
We made our own luck. Take the point and run!
Sets us up nicely for Rovers.

Them LOITV commentators don't even try an hide their bias.
All the commentary teams on LOITV are from the local area (of the home team).
So sounding biased isn't surprising.
Funny you say that. Remember during Easter Cork City defeated Waterford and the goal was doing the rounds online? A fella that does the Comms at Rover (Phelim Whelan I think his name is) got on his high horse calling the lack of impartial commentary a disgrace. He claimed all commentators had a meeting with the new operators and were told that they had to call it down the middle.

Just about deserved I thought. Once Drogheda scored they were always going to sit in so more width could have been brought in earlier I felt. Didn't really start applying any pressure until latter stages.
Such a hard ground to get ant sort of rhythm going.

Boyce is an idiot. Clearly hasn’t learned his lesson or has the memory of a goldfish. Took the fella out for no reason.
