Davenport looks a great prospect. I'm expecting big things from him next season. Has the natural fitness needed and can see a pass. Would like to see the team built around him next year.

We only have the likes of O'Reilly, Maher and Whelan up here because we paid them so much they couldn't say no.

They are on huge wages that even the Dublin clubs weren't prepared to match. Watch them leave now, when they know that they are wasting their time here. It'll take some persuading to see them here next season.

The stats are shocking for a team with such a huge budget.
11pts from last 12 games!
Only scored in 1st half in 7 of 36 games.
Less than 50% win ratio

Let's be rationale. What players consider when out of contract / offered a deal -

Reasons to stay / join

1. money
2. chance to play in front of a decent crown (circa 3.5k every week)

Reasons to leave

1. Plastic Pitch
2. Tactics / manager
3. location
4. Europe next season (in the balance)

When we then look at Rovers, Pats, Shels all making good money in Europe then that weakens our ability to entice players only looking for a good salary. All these teams also play in front of 4 to 5k weekly.

Based on all these elements surely recruitment (players and coaches) needs to be much better. We simply can't compete with the big teams in Dublin who are all now set up with first class managers. We also need to sort out our off field arrangements. Until then its rinse and repeat.

Did we really have a 39% win rate this season?

1 win in 9 whilst at the same time Pats had 9 in 9.

2. What if the board had listened to the those who know better, on the terracing, they’d probable still be cycling through managers.

3. Stephen Kenny got out before he was pushed - dumped out of Dunfermline and Shamrock Rovers by panicked boards, then went to Dundalk and collected a load of trophies.
1. Utd fans were whinging about him up until Mark Robbins popped up and sent them on their way to a Wembly FA Cup final win. He then went on to win the Cup Winners Cup the year after. 18 months later he won the league.

2. Not sure if yer on about our board or the Utd board. Thankfully the Utd board stuck with Ferguson. Those on the terracing dont know better, thats why they are on the terraces and not on a board.

3. Laughable. Got out before he was pushed? He left the club as we were preparing for an FAI Cup final and was Dunfermline manager. Player power forced him out of there. The Rovers fans never liked him and didnt want him so instead they went for Michael O'Neill. He went to Dundalk and collected a load of trophies yes but where are they now financially?

SK might be the answer but always bear this in mind... "AT WHAT COST?" Pats will win the league next year at a canter. Imagine if he had hit the ground running before deciding on his best squad. They finished 4 points behind Shels. Thats a win and a draw instead of two losses in his opening games. It could very easily have been Pats pushing Shels on the last game of the season.

We have to return to the policy that we had for Higgins first transfer window where we signed young players & experienced players, added to it in his second transfer window but after that especially this season that policy was ripped up & we went for older players on big contracts almost like it was panic mode & now we are left with a rebuild regardless of who is in charge

Ironically, they have all agreed deals away from the club and will not be here next season.

Serious question.

If you're out of contract and Rovers or Pats make you an offer - its surely a no brainer?

To play for either Rovers or Pats (with SK in charge) is any player performing at the very top of their game.

I have no issues with anyone that departs for these two clubs.

It hurts yes but players need to do what's best for them in a very short career.
