Has anyone got a link to the plans for the extension of the Mark Farren stand. I'm assuming its part of the initial redevelopment plans but can't find it anywhere

If you go on the Planning NI Portal you should be able to see the planning permission there.
The reference number I think is A/2014/0457/F.
I find the website very hard to navigate on phone and browser so I don't know how to post a link that will take you directly to the documents unfortunately. However, that should help hopefully.

It looks like the SDLP think that the North Stand should count towards the 40 per cent. I'm not sure if this is the club position. It will depend on the application submitted whether it can or not I think.

Re: Brandywell Stadium Development
As far as I can see, our next three home games are 28 Feb, 7 March and 4 April.
I don't see the stand holding any fans next week but I am guessing 7 March could be a test event for the stand.
I think we will probably need another test event if the stand is to be fully open by 4 April. Could that be an Institute game or could we possibly organise a friendly on the international weekend in March? A friendly could also help with any remaining fitness issues.

I overheard at the Brandywell that it would be end of March by the time it can be open to the public.

There's different things going on here...
1. works at the stadium
2. works on infrastructure away from the stadium
Both need to be completed before we are good to go.

Point number 2 being that the new drain at bottom of Bligh's lane needs installed? Is it normal for work like that to be completed last?marcoloco wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 2:44 pm There's different things going on here...

Its two separate works. Both need to be completed before we can open. The drain works are not as complex so these tend to happen near the end of the project.dcfc_jp_1989 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 2:53 pmPoint number 2 being that the new drain at bottom of Bligh's lane needs installed? For council-owned grounds, this rises to 40%.
The 40 per cent seems to be a new requirement which has caught the council on the hop.

Another move by Lyons to appease the "stakeholders" he has meetings with.
