Are tickets being released online for this? Never hear anything from the club about tickets, the really should have this information on their website. If the games sold out it should say in the match ticket section.

Re: Derry City v Bohemians Match Thread
Paper tickets for the terraces went on sale Saturday morning at the "usual outlets". Other than Myra's on the Culmore Road and Harkins near the Brandywell, I don't have a clue who the other sellers are.

Not sure if you're on social media. The club replied to a comment on FB that online sales are unlikely to take place until the new North Stand is fully operational. Hope this helps with your queryDerryDerryDerry wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:16 am Are tickets being released online for this? Re: Derry City v Bohemians Match Thread
It's important that we don't overreact to results in week one either positively or negatively as anything can happen... In saying that, we couldn't have been much worse than we were against Shels. We looked completely off the pace (?Due to subpar preseason opposition) and I felt that TL got his set up completely wrong by going with a two man midfield. I suspect that we'll put up a better performance on Friday. I hope lessons have been learned.
I was impressed with Bohs on Sunday v Shams, they have a number of talented players in their attacking positions who were able to use the big spaces of the Aviva to their advantage. They won't have the same luxury at the Brandywell but I would still be worried about our defensive capabilities.
Still early days so it's important to keep that perspective whatever the result.

We need to play players based on performances rather than name on back of their shirt.

If there's no tickets that's fine, just think the club should better at supplying information. They should be preemptively making comments not replying, the club has always been shite in this regard imodcfc_jp_1989 wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 12:08 pmNot sure if you're on social media. When you're trying to bed in a new way of playing and trying to gel players, consistency of selection is key. I suspect we'll line up the same unless there are injuries.

Diallo is a luxury player that is ponderous and doesn't like to tackle let alone defend.IfYouTolerateThis wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:17 pmA bold selection. I think o'Reilly offers allot more.
Patton is still young and i'd have him on the bench.

O'Reilly for me too. After Bohs beating Rovers ast week, this game won't be easymarcoloco wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:52 pmDiallo is a luxury player that is ponderous and doesn't like to tackle let alone defend.IfYouTolerateThis wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:17 pmA bold selection. Oreilly definitely in front of Diallo. We need the energy levels alone.
Shocking 1st game and one which I'd just out down to the team not having gelled yet. It's early and they are the champions, and they have improved their squad too.
What would worry me, if that is only the 2nd full Tiernan Lynch game I have watched. The other being Larne v Rovers. In both his tactical decisions left a lot to be desired. Hopefully he's learning from mistakes.

Take it you aint seen much of us in Pre season. O'Reilly has been poor. I suspect TL will stick with him nevertheless. Diallo and Patton brought some control to Fridays chaotic performance. Patton offered a lot more than Hoban.marcoloco wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:52 pmDiallo is a luxury player that is ponderous and doesn't like to tackle let alone defend.IfYouTolerateThis wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 3:17 pmA bold selection. I agree consistency is key but you have to learn from your mistakes and hoban and Boyce are too similar, slow and don't stretch teams. They also went great at winning any long balls.
Dropping Todd will also damage his confidence but do you risk another calamity show

It would be a waste of time by the club to actively put something up online for every home game. All supporters know that on the Saturday before a home game the tickets are always available at the "usual" outlets. I believe there is a link somewhere to the usual outletsDerryDerryDerry wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:16 am Are tickets being released online for this? It's a waste of time? It would take no time at all and other clubs do it, it litterally requires a sentence written in the ticket page on the website. How could the club communicating to its customers ever be seen as a waste of time? Is our club just generally more lazy than others?Greengo wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 6:56 pmIt would be a waste of time by the club to actively put something up online for every home game. If we're playing O'Reilly I think it needs to be in a deeper role not sure the further forward role suits him. Like you I agree about the introductions of Diallo & Patton made us better & more control, I'd add Whyte to that alsobarry wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 6:01 pmTake it you aint seen much of us in Pre season. You have to take into account that the game was 3-1 following a ~50 minute stoppage. All life had gone out of the game by the time the subs had come on.

I take your point about the stoppage but Odubeko should've had a 2nd half hat-trick for Shels so there was plenty of life in them in that 2nd halfNige92 wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2025 11:03 am You have to take into account that the game was 3-1 following a ~50 minute stoppage. Doesn't help attract new fans to the games if the club doesn't actively promote ticket sales.Greengo wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2025 6:56 pmIt would be a waste of time by the club to actively put something up online for every home game. There is a new stand about to open. Be great to have the venue sold out for every game. Tbh, promotion of the club in general has always been poor.
