Mceleney and dummigan both off injured in the first half. Our injury luck continues.

Can’t blame the plastic now…… both just injury prone an should have been swapped out in summer.. good players on massive money I’d say for what? Keeping Micheal hegerty active in the treatment room.

So many injuries, is there a common denominator
The player, the pitch, the physio or the strength and conditioning. Can it all be bad luck?

Lacking real quality in our play, lets hope we can win ugly.

Good to get a point but we really struggled to play any quality football. Todd was very good at the back and Duffy tried his best but that was it. I thought Patching was taken off at halftime until his yellow card in the 2nd half. Onwards and upwards at least we did not lose unlike last season in Sligo.

The downside of big money contracts over 3-4 yrs is that you’re stuck with players that hit poor form or are injury prone. Jackie is another one. been very unlucky with successive injuries but I’d be surprised if he lasts long on his return. Hopefully I’m wrong.Paddydcfc2010 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 9:35 pm Mceleney and dummigan both off injured in the first half. Our injury luck continues.

Duffy was the only one that showed any quality with the final ball. Poor game generally but a point is a fair result.YorbaLinda wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 10:52 pm Good to get a point but we really struggled to play any quality football. Hard to take any positives from that. Brutal stuff altogether.
We're getting good value for money off Fats this last couple of years. Sometimes you just need to know when to get rid of players.

Poor game overall. Finished with a bit of purpose but probably too late. Thought Kelly could have stayed on his feet as he was in a good position.
Thought McJannet struggled in first half at left particularly. Depressing but not surprising to see two players go off in first half with injuries. I wouldn't put that down to luck any more. Although Dummigan's looked like it came from a clash, there must be something in the way they either work them in training or in how they deal with their recoveries.

Mc Jannet has been played there before and gets targeted because of his lack of pace. Always looks uncomfortable there and adds little, compared to Doherty going forward.

Ruaidhri Higgins said Dummigan landed awkwardly.rodgers wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 12:02 pm Poor game overall. Finished with a bit of purpose but probably too late. Thought Kelly could have stayed on his feet as he was in a good position.
