Pats winning the cup has done us a massive favour. And they're also probably the soundest of the big Dublin clubs.
So was thinkng it might be a nice touch to send Pats a 'Thanks for Europe' gift from City fans. A crate of champagne for the players would be awesome, but isn't cheap So I was thinking maybe something like this (https://www.gifts.ie/gifts/any-message- ... 09_107_142) - with the European flag on it for the picture, and a message saying something like :
'To St. Pats - Congratulations on the FAI Cup (& for helping us into Europe ). Have a drink on us, Derry City FC Supporters'.
What do people reckon ? Good idea, or a bit cheesy ?
It's €99 (£85), and I'd chuck £25 in if anyone else fancied contributing a tenner or more to help make it happen ?
A Congrats/Thank You Message To St Pats from City Fans ?

No harm, but a bit cringey.

Not even a bit cringey, massively cringey. Please just don’t do this. Highly embarrassing.

Think I was sick in my mouth after reading that post.
Pats where out to win the cup for themselves and happened to do us a favour in the process. Great but never ever ever ever ever is or would this have been a good idea.
Away to be sick again.
