It's certainly something that the FAI will have to figure into schedule making going forward. Following Brexit the rules around English clubs importing players have changed which means more of the talented young players will remain in Ireland for longer. As a result there'll be more call ups to the underage squads.

That means the season will have to be stretched to fit international windows which means player contracts being extended to fit the longer season. It also means clubs/FAI need to invest more into the academies if we want to develop the young players at home.

As an aside, I've been to two u19s games recently and both were fantastic. The quality of football on show was excellent, it would put some senior sides to shame.
