So McGonigle, Akintunde, Duffy... does that mean Junior is unlikely to sign again?

And Georgie Kelly?

Maybe we plan on winning the league by buying all the best strikers?

I doubt Georgie will leave Dublin.
To have a squad capable of challenging you need a big squad with almost 2 players for every position so even if Duffy signs I can still see us looking to keep Junior.

I would see us looking for the following

Back up Goalie (experienced)
Back up right back
Will Patching
Michael Duffy
Junior to re-sign or an alternative striker
A really good defensive midfielder, in the mould of a Shields (ex-Dundalk)

I think the following will leave

Willl Fitzgerald
Marc Walsh (did well WHEN he played but injury record is poor)
Darren Cole
Jack Malone (on loan)
Bastian Hery

4 year deal. Mentions he's taking a pay cut in favour of stability. Brilliant signing.

Has had a quiet season but the stability at Derry could be just what he needs. 4 year deal covers him against injury and also gives Derry cover if he has a great season, gets an International call up and attracts cross water interest. Its a win win all round.

We're going for it next season. Strong rumours Kelly and Patching wrapped up as well- suppose we'll see. Things look to be looking bright again. Very good players on long term contracts. Can't complain at that.
