Re: Derry City v Longford
Absolutely, we need to be beating the worst team in league if we still have aspirations of European football.
With only 9 games left, I think we need to win 6 of those to stand a chance. That depends on Sligo/Bohs form but with superior points/games in hand respectively, we're playing catch up.
We still have to play Sligo/Bohs to play at home so it's still in our hands to a point, we just need wins on the board.
We also have to hope that St Pats win the cup... With all that in mind, Europe is looking very unlikely at this point.

Re: Derry City v Longford
I've a ticket for this but can't go now, if anyone is looking for one.
Adult ticket for the Mark farren Stand. Will take a tenner for it (vs £15 cover price).
Thanks.

Re: Derry City v Longford
Longford have only lost by more than 2 goals 4 times this season. Lots of their games have been tight. They have lost 3 times to Shamrocks Rovers by 1 goal by conceding in injury time in all 3.
This will not be a walkover despite their league position

3 points would be great and much needed after recent draws.
Bohs and Sligo have tough games tonight also so hoping we get a few results falling our way for a change.

Manager will need to tell Hery “ALl Longfords first half best chances came from your sloppiness” I saw this trait as he played for Linfield a lack of real drive “I play my pretty pretty football like it or lump it “ v He is v v talented BUT IS HE a team player we shall see second half Hope he picks it up we need a bit of class but not at the risk of gifting the other team great chances

Strange game, didn't play well but good to get 3 points. Bohs and sligo lose so that's good.

Wee Mc Laughlin showed Hery how it’s done Great sub by boss Fitz can’t play full stop Two 3sec cameos in 2 games is hardly justification for keeping him

Re: Derry City v Longford
Didn't think we were great last night but from this point forward it's all about winning. The results last night went in our favour so just need to plug away. Hopefully pick up at least a point against rovers as we let four slip against harps and bohs
