No, 2 years ago we were told we were getting a 2,500 seat stand but that has turned out to be city council lies and bullshit and our board and chairman sadly feel for all this bullshit. Unless our board knew all along what was getting built but lied to us at all the fans meetings. Either way we need answers from both the council and our board.
DCFC Official FB page telling me they wont answer ANY questions around design or redevelopment.
As for the clowncil.

Well why has our chairman kept telling us at every supporters meeting i remember that the funding is fully in place and a 2,500 seat stand will be built with coporate facilities ect, in light of todays news it's obvious he didnt do any research and didnt have a clue what he was talking about and was following what the media were saying.

It also says in that derry news report that the empty spaces at either side of the new lego stand could have temporary seating installed for an future european games. So i dont think there is a hope in hell that the other parts of the stand will ever be built, so when the contractors pull out at the end of next year they wont be back for the next 50 years.

Ahh, so we are getting Dundalks stand then. They've secured the rights to their ground, looks like it'll be heading up the road then.

I'm annoyed that we're not getting the full new stand we were promised.
I'm annoyed we're getting an artificial pitch instead of grass.
I'm annoyed that we're being tied to the Brandywell actually and no other stadium options are being considered thus stifling our potential to attract new fans, especially those from the protestant/unionist persuasion although many catholic/nationalists wouldn't go anywhere near it either. And I haven't even mentioned how away fans view a trip up to us at the minute.

But just to play devil's advocate here, why would we need an additional 2500 seats on top of the 2400 or so we already have when our average attendance last season was maybe about 1300 and our biggest home gate was less than 3000 (cup semi against Dundalk)?

It's a valid question.
