Bog park in ballygobackwards??
Yeah, we'd love to have the Best Supporters in Ireland (when you are winning by spending millions you don't have) up with us. Not.
Stay where you are and do what you do best. Whine and moan about everything until someone else pays for it for you. And then whine and moan some more.

There is talk about you using our ground, which would have to be voted on by our supporters (shareholders) and you come on here and read shite like that.
At least it gave youse a break from picking on the more senior members of yer forum for an hour or two.

Sure we would all love a new swanky stadium at fort george with heated padded seats and budweiser on tap but it aint going to happen and the sooner deluded fools like mahon get that into their heads the better. Im over the moon that work has finally started on the brandywell and cant wait to sit in the new lone moor road stand
SHAUNA did you not MAHON is going to buy fort george build a new stadium for dcfc lol.

So E.Mahon gets slated for stating the brutally honest and for thinking big.
Its a Derry trait. accept what crumbs fall from the table and be grateful.
Derry's "chattering classes" community are at last wakening to this. from Magee issue to just about everything else. Shame someone with the vision of Eddie isn't on the Bored. maybe we wouldn't be waiting a lifetime for scraps.

Some don't want to face the truth, and how others see us. Moanfest would be a very apt description of this forum.

Making statements like that just stinks of "fuck them, they cant use our ground because they moan on a website"...FBTN wrote: There is talk about you using our ground, which would have to be voted on by our supporters (shareholders) and you come on here and read shite like that.
Catch yourself on... Sticks and stones...
And last time I looked one of our senior members was banned from your site for the very same reason...
Davy can use his pseudonym to explain why he was booted off...

How long will the redevelopment of the playing surface overlap with the start of the season? If the current stand is usable and it's a matter of weeks, could the league not front load away matches for City to accommodate the redevelopment of the stadium? After all, better facilities were mentioned in the Conroy report. Four or five weeks wouldn't be that big of an issue if you know that you have the gate revenue coming to you over the season. You'd want good form on the road though...

Re: Brandywell Stadium Development
I couldn't see many teams in our league voting for that motion. IFA did a similar thing for Linfield last year and it was met with criticism by all the teams and Management in the league, including Warren Feeney. Feeney's argument was about the disadvantage of having to travel to Crues midweek after being in Derry playing Stute (while hard done by) whilst other clubs were unhappy about Linfield's advantage of having 8 consecutive (maybe more) home games. Then again before Friday we had a better record away so playing away every week into the summer could work out for us.rerun wrote:How long will the redevelopment of the playing surface overlap with the start of the season? Yes that is the reason we need to vacate the stadium for the start of the season to allow the work to be down on first of all leveling the land (no more dip apparently) and then rolling out the new 4G pitch.

What about the greyhound men have they agreed to their track being closed down for an x amount of years until their new track is built in the showgrounds.TenaciousDee wrote:Yes that is the reason we need to vacate the stadium for the start of the season to allow the work to be down on first of all leveling the land (no more dip apparently) and then rolling out the new 4G pitch.
