FAI Cup First Round- Drogheda (A)

Post by TenaciousDee »

Live on Tonight's RTE 2FM's Game On, the draw for the first round of the FAI Cup will be made. Derry City is ball no.10. Ordinarily in this round I would be looking at the junior teams or grounds around the country I haven't been to before (Cabinteely's is the only one in the 2 divisions at present). Sadly away fans may not be admitted into the games on July 23rd-25th in the south so with that in mind, fingers crossed for a home draw.

Don’t suppose there’s any away tickets now that numbers have eased See Ulster GAA final POSs going to Dublin for spectator numbers

Drogheda Members have been contacted regarding tickets for the game so it will still be limited. So if there are any general sale tickets left after this you might have a chance of snagging one.

I sent an email so we'll see what they say.

What's the capacity down south for games anyway.

At most grounds it has been 200. Not sure if there has been an increase.

Think I may have read that Sligo are allowed 600 into their game against Cork; whether that's a standalone game for that capacity I'm not sure

Jack Malone is missing this match through suspension and I imagine Marc Walsh remains out with injury.
