Should be some of the easiest points we pick up this season. Most key players gone and a lot of a weaker side. Hopefully some rotation players given a shout and a start for some new players. Nearly feel sorry for ucd :D

I just hope the players don't underestimate UCD.

Both their goalkeeper Conor Kearns and centre forward Yoyo Mahdy went off injured in the first half. Their second choice keeper is away playing for the Universities amd Colleges Irish team. At this rate they will be asking supporters if they fancy a side.

Don't want any complacency here, they need to concentrate on keeping their performance level high and make sure they get 3 points.

Are they not worst team in league? Time to boost goal difference.

I'll be positive and go with a 5-0 win.

I was at both UCD's win over Finn Harps on Friday night and the Portsmouth friendly (to keep an eye on young Mr Curtis).

I would pay little heed to the friendly. Both teams played entirely different squads each half and not many of the UCD first team started. Paradoxically of the few that did, two came off with injuries. The injuries didn't look that bad though and I suspect both will be available to play us. However, if he does play against us tonight, the UCD replacement goalkeeper looked decent. Their first choice made a bit of a mess for Portsmouth's first goal, a header from Ronan Curtis.

A better idea of where UCD are is last Friday's game.

Harps were desperately disappointing. UCD are full of running and play really neat football, out from the back and through midfield. They are light up front though and should struggle against our defence.

We are surely better than them but they have confidence from Friday's win and their Premier League survival to play for. It would be a mistake to underestimate them or view this match as a gimme.

However, I'd be very disappointed if we didn't run out winners by a couple of goals.

Good post above. Some very silly comments on this thread. We've not won 14 of our 23 league games so any sort of win will do.

You can say what you want, but we should be beating UCD easily at home if we have aspirations to be a top 3 team.

Well Dundalk beat them 2-1 at home and their ambitions are greater than ours. 3 points and I'll be delighted. Anything else a welcome bonus

I couldn't make the game due to the einsteins that scheduled the game on this day of all days. Why oh why oh why are we the only team hosting a game. Was this a deliberate act? Listening on the wireless and it sounds like the crowd is as poor as the football. Young Curran sounds as frustrated as me. A very silly decision to schedule this game as it was and we would have beat this lot with a good roar behind us. Not a glorious result

Fair play UCD. 2 games in 3 days and they get a point when it matters most. Off the bottom.

Derry toothless and Parkhouse not clinical again.

Punished for complacency and probably not good enough on the night. Disappointing.

St Pats the biggest winners from tonight.

Most of that Ucd team played two days ago and lost 11-0. Talk all week of not being complacent and play like that. Awful stuff
