Shane won't be coming back to Derry anytime soon. He has spoken to motherwell and when derry was mentioned he has said he wouldn't come back when he is not wanted. Wee dig at the fans.

I'd like to see Shane as a defensive midfielder.

In other rumour reports were linked to Jamie McDonagh ex Sligo and Morton player and current U21 Northern Ireland winger

Shane was slaughtered for losing the ball coming out of defensive situations on about 4 occasions I was able to point out that Nicholas ???? Was caught out doing more horrific things more often that ANS he cost us games and Ryan (God RestHim ) committed the same number of indiscretionsas Shane so Shane IMO got a very very raw deal
I rated him v highly esp after 3 Great games as holding mid field before injuries in the team forced him back to c back

Then I MUST go to Specsavers. Funny how people watch the same player and yet see the opposite. Nicholas " was useless

I think his concentration levels were the issue.

Yeah always looked good on the ball and could definitely play anyway across the back four
or on midfield. He just regularly looked like he couldnt be bother

concentration totally gone, and made so many silly stupid mistakes, especially latter in games

Im not sure was this attitude or what the story was,
He seems to blame the manager everywhere he goes

Had so much potential and I was a big fan even when Collins dropped him in favour of Roddy Junior but then he seemed to go backwards. Always had the potential to make a serious mistake which points to concentration problems. Attitude didn't seem right when he was last with us and the stories about his off field life style weren't too clever.

Concentration, attitude, life style. Can a leopard change its spots?

Plenty of young talent in the squad in that position so for me would be a backward step and a risk to bring him on board.

Funny he boo hooed to the press about how badly he was treated by DC previously and now he seems to be trying to get the club to sign him by talking to the press again!!! And by the way he doesn't lack concentration he's just lacks ability

He did even more about Pats and called them and their manager everything.

Trouble seems to follow him

You can say all you like about him .his conduct, his press releases. (R.E.M. he tried to play under the great muppet Collins). But concentration talk about that ,mistakes talk about those, but to say he had no ability that’s just too ridiculous Come on He was a lovely player

It's funny that people criticise players like Schubert and Vemelund ,I suspect because they are outsiders but don't knock one of our own no matter how crap. So I'll rephase it; he was a total liability

Can anyone tell us how well he did at his last club, was the personal/league standard high and if he has shown signs of improvement?

I see he signed for Larne.

Big investment in them from a millionaire.
