The lights at Culmore roundabout works well in that you don’t wait too long before you are on the go again. The lights at Sainsbury’s have had a few adjustments to allow more cars through from the meadow bank side instead of having to do an F1 take off to have been through in the 4 cars or so that got through. I have travelled through the same lights when very little traffic was on the road and about 100m from them when they changed to green and back to red before reaching them. There were no other vehicles or pedestrians to cause the lights to change them so wondering what way they are set up.

Do you know of any other lights that operate in irregular fashion?

Them temporary lights at Pennyburn, Fort George roundabout are a joke. Always holding up traffic at peak times.

The lights at the roundabout at the top of the Culmore road at the Foyle Bridge are also a joke. The number of times I've seen people drive through their own red light thinking that the light in the distance with the blinds across it and is green is theirs is ridiculous.
Going to work early in the morning and the lights are red even though there is no traffic is also stupid and then theres the people who use the middle lane to turn right towards Donegal instead of using the far right hand lane which doesnt congest the traffic heading towards Madams Bank Rd.
A roundabout is there to aid the flow of traffic not hamper it but throw a set of traffic lights round it shure. that'll help...

Agree. Bad drivers are adding to it.

But if we want to talk about bad traffic lights in the town, the ones at Pennyburn junction are worse.

It's a shambles of a crossroads.
